After sensor arrays on the frontier of Federation space detected warp field
signatures consistent with an attack force approaching Kzinti territory,
the war destroyer leader *Instinctive Lunge* was deployed to defend the
coltan-processing facility Faas-2.  No battle took place after the invading
force diverted to another target system.



*Organian Treaty Colony (#232)*  Loss to Federation



The Hegemonic Land Use Authority's mission to build a hunting park on the
Organian treaty colony Oruus-IV had been interdicted by a large force of
humans and their leaf-eating allies.  A task force led by the command
cruiser *Carotid Tooth* moved to engage the larger deployment of the alien
dreadnought and its escorts.  On arrival, tense, encrypted exchanges
between the two fleets crackled back and forth over subspace.  The Kzinti
fleet ultimately withdrew, but only after both sides declared the
engagement to be a draw.

*Moray Eel of Space* *(#240)*  Loss to rival Kzinti


One of the colonies of a vassal to House Kif, Holdfast Saith, came under
attack by a large alien creature.  Accompanying this creature were two
vessels of the rival Kzinti House that goes by the motto "Drones, Liquor,
and Catnip".  The enemy cruiser *Marquis* and an escorting drone scout, in
combination with the attacking creature, were together too great a force
for the defending medium command cruiser *Savage Beating* to overcome, and
it retreated after evacuating the local noble family.


*Klingon Border*


*Colony Raid* *(#243)*  Kzinti win



Whiskers, the human name for the Hegemony intelligence organization,
reported that the isolated Kzinti penal settlement Traitor's Reward was
being considered as an attack target by the Deep Space Fleet. The system is
located in a disputed part of the Klingon Neutral Zone and had not yet been
a port of call for any naval vessel.  By sending the ship *Iridescent Gaze *and
encountering no challenge*, *the Kzinti reinforced their claim to the area
and expanded the active border with the Klingon Empire.
