Dramatic SFB: GWO Turn 7

Two or three possible battles this turn. One against the BBB in Sector
1097, one against the Just Colonial Commission in sector 1133, and an
overwhelming force against the unknown Kzinti in sector 1148.

The Emergency Committee for the Defense of the People's Front of Hydrax has
generated the following encounter report for general circulation through
the various committees, sub-committees, and sub-sub-committees.
Distribution of this report to our mortal enemies, the Hydraxian People's
Front or the Hydran Royalists, is strictly prohibited.

*On the Barony's Battling Bastards front:*

*Sector #1096 - The Moray Eel of Space:* The People's Naval Intelligence
Committee reports a BBB DW engaged and destroyed a Moray Eel threatening a
Kzinti colony in this sector. *BBB Victory.*

*Sector #1097 - Convoy Raid*: A war destroyer squadron escorting a critical
supply convoy reports contact with three Kzinti vessels! The Citizen
Commodore aboard HPS Liberator reports he intends to turn and engage with
his squadron, and hopes to buy time for the convoy to slip away...* Battle!*

*Sector #1098 - Terrain Defense with Ground Combat:* Corrupted stellar data
logs have rendered this sector a mystery to the People's Planning and
Construction Committee, and as such no vessels were deployed at this time. *BBB
Victory.*

*Sector #1099 - Moderate Colony Raid:* Although we are aware of the
Barony's efforts to fortify the colony in this sector, the People's
Deployments Committee refused to allocate sufficient warship hulls to curb
the Kzinti threat until our newest weapons exit the trials phase and enter
general production... *BBB Victory.*


*On the Tribunal Battle Fleet 13 border:*

*Sector #1131 - Minor Colony Raid:* The Emergency Committee for the Defense
of the People's Front of Hydrax has a new neighbor, and are reluctant to be
percieved as responsible for opening hostilities. It was decided to
overrule the People's Deployments Committee on their decision to make a
"show of force" and send our Flagship DN to this border, instead we sent
only a subspace communique. *Tribunal Victory.*


*On the Just Colonial Commission front:*

*Sector #1132 - Terrain Defense with Ground Combat:* Still stinging from a
recent defeat at Jindarian hands in a asteroid field, we have elected to
take the fight to the so-called "Colonists" in more favorable terrain.

*Sector #1133 - Moderate Colony Raid:* Contact! HPS Champion, a heavy
cruiser operating in local space to our colony reports a Jindarian vessel
has entered The People's space and is refusing to answer hails. The Citizen
Captain expects a battle. *Battle!*

*Sector #1134 - The Moray Eel of Space:* We have encountered a Moray Eel
apparently intent on devouring a Jindarian colony world. What a shame. *PFH
Victory*

*Sector #1135 - Banshees: Encounter Dropped.*


*On the Tall Enough front:*

*Sector #1136 - Large Colony Raid: *The colony in this sector is one of our
highest producing economic centers, so when intelligence was intercepted
placing it among the most likely targets for Tall Enough reprisal it was
decided the HPS Astral Fury and her escort flotilla would be deployed to
ensure the safety of this colony. *PFH Victory.*

*Sector #1137 - The Moray Eel of Space:* There are a number of wild but
unsubstantiated theories concerning the plague of Space Eels across the
galaxy this third of the year. In this sector, the Eels unoppsed actions
almost certainly resulted in the elimination of many Royalist Hydrans.* PFH
Victory.*

*Sector #1138 - Marine Rescue: Encounter Dropped.*












*On the Completely Imaginary border:Sector #1139 - Planetary Bombardment:

*Sector #1144 - Space Boars:* HPS Trident has successfully completed
another space boar hunt which should resolve the food crisis on several
nearby colonies. *PFH Victory*


*Along the unknown Kzinti border:*

*Sector #1145 - Moderate Colony Raid:* Cats to the left of me, Cats to the
right! Here I am, stuck in the middle with you. The People's Naval
Intelligence Committee has detected subspace signals apparently emanating
from another Kzinti nation. It is unknown at this time if they also owe
their fealty to the Kzinti Patriarch. If they do, then much like the
Barony's Battling Bastards, we will be obligated to overthrow their
oppressive aristocratic rulers and liberate their people! *Unknown Kzinti
Victory.*

*Sector #1146 - Minor Colony Raid:* With a new contact in this region of
space, the People's Deployments Committee mobilized a war destroyer
squadron to ensure the safety of Hydran colonists. They report no
encounters. *PFH Victory.*

*Sector #1147 - Convoy Raid:* A cruiser, HPS Tenacity, and a pair of war
destroyers were assigned to investigate a cluster of Kzinti signals along
our border. When it turned out to be a lightly escorted convoy the Citizen
Captain used his own initiative to order an attack. *Overwhelming Force.*

*Sector #1148 - Banshees: Encounter Dropped.*
