Dramatic SFB: Age of PFs: convoy #2252

I'm presuming the Romulans are disengaging as soon as the freighters are 
destroyed. Please let me know otherwise and I'll re-run.


A very-modern Romulan group of a Skyhawk, SparrowHawk, and a Skyhawk 
scout hunted down an ISC convoy, guarded by an escort carrier group and 
a scout. The Romulans approached at speed and then dropped their 
Centurians. The escort carrier began cycling out her fighters while the 
escort destroyer heeled around with her interceptors separating.

Once the plasma from the ISC began flying, the Centurians returned fire 
against the interceptors while the Romulan ships ran forward under 
cloak. A bloody fight ensued between the PFs and INTs, with a helping 
from a few fighters. The Romulan ships went straight for the freighters.

The Skyhawk was flash-cubed by a mine and then was donated every phaser 
the ISC could bear, plus several bolted plasma. The frigate was crippled 
and proceeded to uncloak. She launched her plasma at a single freighter 
from overload range and then proceeded to limp off the map.

With many of the ISC weapons emptied and the resulting power issues that 
entails, the Sparrowhawk uncloaked. The remaining fighters went for her, 
but she was able to pickle off all of her sabots and phasers at 
freighters before the fighters' weapons would hit her. Across a 
turn-break, the Sparrowhawk popped a weasel and cloaked again.

As the ISC are largely emptied of weapons (including the fighters), the 
Romulans manage to get away. The Romulan plasma were too much for the 
freighters, who were running hard to get space between them and the 
aggressors.


Result: Crippled Skyhawk. Dead freighters.
