Dramatic SFB: Sector 2188 AAR

Thanks to Wayne for a challenging and exhilarating battle! That was
hard-fought, and I hope to incorporate a few tactics you made use of into
my own 'tactical toolbox'.


The commodore leading our F5 squadron in sector 2188 reports (from the
Fleet Repair Dock's bridge, due to the massive damage taken by his own IKV
Chieftain) that the Peladine agressors have been driven off with only the
loss of IKV Ardent and her entire crew compliment. In return, one
Magistrorum Militum War Destroyer was defeated after heavy drone
bombardment and close range phaser fire, before being towed over a large
mine and subsequently atomized.

Chieftain and Spoiler will require significant repairs in a dedicated
facility such as the FRD which they so tenaciously defended.

Additionally, this is the first victory in a pitched battle against our
Peladine neighbors since the creation of the Office of Frontier Security in
Y178. Perhaps this battle represents a turning point in the balance of
power for this region of space?
