I never receive that.  When I see people starting to post ready to advance messages or describe encounters I log in the software and check if turn as advanced.

If you go check out your account settings (where you select different themes), there is a checkbox to get email notifications. If it's not checked, you don't get those messages.

If it is checked and you don't get them, suspect your spam filters.
