The Great Gorn Navy will not let information and probe technology fall into
the hands of the Paravian.  It sent the right configuration fleet to deal
with any situation that may rise while recovering it's property.  As
correctly assume the Paravian did sent a sizable size fleet to interfere
will Gorn activity.

 

Gregory from you post it look like you will not fight in this scenario.   If

As it is fair game to leak false information for propaganda, an attack on a
Gorn colony by the Federation was totally part of this misinformation
campaign.

The Gorn Confederation consider the Banshees in the Federation sector
internal Fed matter and do not have to intervene.  It a lost opportunity for
the Federation to learn valuable information and trade it for EPs.

training.  This full flag exercise was conduct way inside Gorn Confederation

The Gorn Natural Science Academy conducted a daring field study of a Space
dragon and gained valuable information on this species.

The Gorn Exo-Science division manage to force the planet crusher away from
Gorn territories.

Due to good relation with the Romulan neighbor, the report of a Gorn assault
on a Romulan Base was totally faults.

A Gorn Navy scout ship did record an assault by the Romulan on a Colony, but
the information that is was a Gorn Colony was not true.

The Gorn Confederation consider the Banshees in the Romulan sector internal

dispatch to investigate.  It was reported that the power cell was defective
and it was replace.  No foul play by the Romulan was detected.
