All of mine were overwhelming force or autoresolved.
I don't think I heard from the Deep Space Klingons on Convoy Raid #995 - I have overwhelming force but don't recall seeing them formally state they want to withdraw.
Otherwise Cargo Tug #983 where the Frax sent a fleet that is as big as my entire fleet put together I will have to withdraw.  What's frightening is that that fleet was not even 40% of his entire fleet.
Seeing that Fraxian fleet opened my eyes to my sad reality.  I knew starting late as I did with a smaller fleet compared to everyone else I would have to work a bit to catch up, but I don't think Matt or I realized that the real disadvantage would be the number of borders.  Since I have 7 compared to upwards of 20 for some I simply can't generate the income others can.  Further, it seems that only a few scenarios of any players result in an actual conflict and those rarely go far enough to result in even a crippled ship before one side disengages so I can't count on any attrition to other fleets with the extra borders.  I started with a fleet of 800 compared to my border mates who at the time had 1300-1550 but now my paltry fleet of 1380 faces border mates fleets of over 3000.  I'm afraid I'm losing a War of Inflation not Attrition!
Having said that, I'm enjoying myself and think the game concept has great potential for creating scenarios to fight.  I still want to continue despite my situation because there's still the chance of fighting comparable fleet scenarios.  Two suggestions though if I may:1)  Put caps of different types on more scenarios like the Convoy Raid so it's more likely both sides will have comparable fleets.2)  Give more incentive to follow through on scenarios.  For example, perhaps if one side withdraws it costs half the fleet they sent.  Thus it's worth fighting it out more seriously and you may actually have a war of attrition.  As it is now I don't foresee how this game will ever end.  But maybe that's intentional?
I apologize if this comes across whiny, I'm just thinking out loud.
Paul - Menage Hydrans.
