Dramatic SFB: Convoy Battles

 I watched just a bit of that battle and I also agree with Marcel/Wayne.While the CS sleds are very slow, they are dangerous at close range.
Mind you, my Andro knowledge is very poor so take my opinion for what its worth !

We just fought for fun the Convoy Raid #3919 in Midshipman
A C8B and 3 E5's vs 1 PYT, 2 MAM. 1 EEL, 4 CS and a GUN.
the game went on for 5 turns and i manage to get my ships through the escorting MAM's and PYT, heading toward the CS's with those ships on my tail.The C8 got some internals from a previous pass from the 2 MAM's and PYT without even being able to punch through the PA of any ships.
For turn 5, all my ships went to speed 30/28 to do an overrun on the CS. The CS managed to grab the E5's at range 2 (no way i could fight those tractors with all the bttys on the CS). I even fired 6 T-IV drones at the CS but none manage to hit their targets.I manage to get to range 1 of one of the CS, firing 10 Ph-2 and 4 Ph-3 doing 57, and even that did not blow up the CS.
With 3 E5's heading on a FT convoy, i would have at least killes 2 of them and crippled 1 at range 0 with little chances of them of escaping it. FT's might be faster then CS, but once you catchup with FT's they are dead. It is almost impossible to do an overrun on adros.
My personnal view on those CS as they are comparable, if not even better then FT's.
Can take more damage, can dissipate damage to space.Can do EW, as long as bttys lastHave better phasersCan have TB.Can effectively tractor attacking ships (Which FT's cant do as well)
The final point is, MC for MC. Andro ships are more powerfull then galactic ships.
Attacking hard to kill CS, defended by ships which have more BPV for an equivalent MC make the fact that CS cannot go faster then 13 and cannot disengage by acceleration the only chance for galactic power to maybe win that scenario.
I would trade anytime 5 FT for 5 CS even more, being escorted by 2 MAM's. 1 PYT and 1 EEL
