Dramatic SFB: Turn 2 RTA Cycle?

Justin,
That is crossing over the line, way over.
Your email is totally unacceptable and unnecessary.

We need to be respectable towards each other, no matter what.

Most unfortunate.

Regards
Frank

How about we just remove Ben and Paul, both are
quick to respond and to flame (and then complain in the same
email about those players, lol what a joke, love it when the
real dicks call the reasonable ones dicks when they are
really the ones being dickheads.. totally common in
today's climate) anyone who asks why this garbage fire
of a campaign start is what it is.. and those players asking
are right to do it (the players asking for the turn to
advance and why this shit is taking so long, that is).

 We have
been waiting on one player to learn what PF's are and
that they don't work in a 1000 point fleet, took him a
week or more to figure that simple truth out, wow. Now we
are well past the admin set deadline and 15 or so players
are waiting for days now on 1-2 guys, really? Who are these
2 turds calling people dicks and responding to every request
to adv the turn as if they are an admin or somehow their
opinion matters?? Lets just remove Paul and Ben, and get on
with as Ben put it " having fun". At a minimum it
will more or less eliminate the email strings that these 2
keep creating by complaining as they wont be there to flame/
pontificate and the admin can simply respond per usual.

I too am a culprit for doing a turn and forgetting to hit
the button. I wouldn’t have been aware that I was being
waited on until Matt said something.

Holidays are extraordinarily slow no matter how you
look at it. It’s the nature of this time of year.

 Paul....Ben....yeah there is some...mild
complaining. Why? Because some people actually want to play
a game that they end up able to play lol.

Some people....seem to want to play...when ever they
remember to look for it. Which seems to take...weeks for a 1
day move at this level. Then when we do get to to an actual
situation where someone has 5 fights....and their opponents
 are over scattered
time zones we really get bogged down. But that is not
really an issue. It is understandable. What is not so
understandable is I want to play a game sign me up and a
month later...oh wait??? I signed up for something??? Um
what was it? Oh yeah...here is my
turn that took me 10 minutes to do. While the rest of the
people who actually wanted to play...sit...and sit...and
sit...for no reason what so ever. So while I understand your
not wanting there to be a lot of complaining. I also
 understand that if you actually
do not give a crap about playing. Do NOT sign up for a
large multi person game. If you realize you are going to
have issues. Let someone know...you know...a 10 second email
advising Matt or everyone. Common courtesy seems to longer
 be common.

Anyway. As I have a number of campaigns and other games
I play. This situation does not bother me much. But I can
get my turns entered easily. I have more time than most. So
can also play my combats. I also as should be obvious...play
 as a battle captain
as often as needed. But...if I could not do this...but felt
like gee...I have a right to if and when I get around to it
remembering to play. Then I should not be playing in a multi
 person campaign like this.

The opinions stated are indeed mine. Take them for what
 they are worth.

I completely concur with Ben.  I too am tired of the
whining about people not finishing their moves on a
timescales that they believe is reasonable.  We haven't
even finished one turn and we have multiple batches of these
 that frankly are quite unfriendly
and quite off putting.  Either let's set deadlines and
stick to them or don't.  Either way, please stop the
 complaining.

Btw Matt, it doesn't help when you single out
publicly who hasn't submitted moves.  If people ask,
just state how many players haven't submitted moves not
who they are, and if you feel anyone is acting too slow then
contact them individually or warn them
that if they don't act soon you will advance the
 turn.

 Paul.

 Well
In a campaign with 16 players, it is bound to have one
or two players that won't take the 5 minutes to give
theirs orders even if it means to have all the other players
 on hold.
Perhaps it should have a hard deadline or players that
don't feel like playing should resign.
When you join a campaign, you should be sure to be able
to commit to it or otherwise, just don't join.

For sure, it is going to be a VERY SLOW campaign.
