Scenario 885 in the books!

Turn1: Andro and Hydran fleets head toward the center Hydrans release all their fighters Andro fleet follows their MWP's in.

Turn2: Andro's start spd 15 and Hydrans move spd 10. Andro's kick it up to speed 20 at imp 9 closing on Hydran fleet following their fighters. Andro's place 4 t-bombs around 7 of the fighters. Fighters shoot everything they had at two of the MWP (filling their panels) and at the Martillo (filling it's rear panels) and the two hellbore fighters score hits doing 9 internals to the Martillo, a Cobra. MWP's fire at the Baron (hitting it on the nose) and kill 2 of the fighters, and Martillo fires it's guns at the nose of the Baron at R6 and the Rotura displaces it away before Baron fires it's hellbores. Next impulse 7 fighters die due to t-bombs and the Rotura hits the Baron on the nose for 40 points from TRH's netting 23 internals(knocking out about half of the remaining Hydran firepower). Both fleets turn away from each other to reload, the Rotura attempts to kill the remaining two fighters but only cripples them before getting a shot with the RS phasers Glenn lands them on his SR ship. Both fleets end the turn flying away from each other.

Turn3: Andro's start spd 15 Hydran combat ships go spd 15 and Tug goes spd 20. Andros regroup their fleet and the Martillo plays some panel games and then is displaced back in to the fleet. Hydrans launch shuttles near planet and then the Hydran Tug starts slowing down, Andros turn towards the south end of the planet to intercept Hydran fleet that turned towards the planet, since the fighters are gone the Andros now have the upperhand.

Turn4: Hydrans maintain spd 15 except the Tug that goes spd 10 and the Andro go spd 20, (Andro tug eventually goes 30 to catch up and is later displaced to catch up with the fleet). Hydrans turn south (currently north of the planet) Andros swing south drop 3 t-bombs destroying all but 1 shuttle and hitting the Tug on the #6. Baron fires a HB at the Andro scout missing it. Andros decide not to speed up to fire TR's and hold it for next turn now that the fleet is grouped up with a total of 22 ph-2's and (2 TRH's, 1TRL). During the turn break Glenn declares he will disengage in turn 5, I accept it after crunching the numbers I determine that I can't close the distance to cripple any of his ships given my weapons aside from getting a lucky DD roll.

Fun little fight for 120 EP, started a little scary for the Andro, Hydrans had 9 St-2's and 2 St-H's, but due to some lucky t-bomb placement Flota de Invasion come out with a victory. GG, Glenn maybe next time brother.

Something came up in the scenario Glenn wasn't aware of what the MWP's were. They are Andro PF's that are placed on motherships (.25 space per hangar to a maximum of 6 per mothership). Currently both motherships have them (4 for the Conquistador and 6 for the Intruder).

With this battle resolved the Andromedans are ready to advance!
