*Terrain Defense with Ground Combat #843 (Kzinti victory by overwhelming
force)*

The combat tug *Heroic Beast*, configured as a troopship and escorted by
the destroyer *Oath of Fealty*, confront the lone Lyran heavy cruiser *Grey
Warrior* at a tritanium refinery installation in the border regions.  Under
cover of overwhelming naval force, Kzinti marines deploy to secure the
facility.


*Federation Front*

*Cargo Tug #815 (Kzinti victory)*

Seeking to reduce maritime insurance premiums paid by his merchant fleet, a
minor noble in this border sector used family connections in the Admirality
to arrange for a military escort for his ships.  No Federation or Orion
activity was observed.


*Refugee Flight #816 (Kzinti victory)*

A ragtag fleet of colonial human refugee ships fleeing an unfortunate
malfunction of artificially intelligent androids was assisted by a
Federation police vessel.  The refugees expressed considerable surprise at
the large number of Kzinti liason personnel on board.  A potential
altercation arising from the baring of human teeth (an alien custom called
*smiling*) was averted by a timely gift of a recipe for 'Central Texas
Barbecue', which was declared to be delicious by all Kzinti involved.


*Colony Raid #818 (Federation victory by overwhelming force)*

The Feds sent a dreadnought, a scout, and two escorts to secure this
colony.


*Klingon Front*

No activity.


*Rival Kzinti Front*

*Dragon Attack #834 (Territorial Marking Fleet Kzinti victory by
overwhelming force)*

A large attack force sent to the space of our Kzinti rival that goes by the
motto "Drones, Liquor, and Catnip" disturbed a nest of Space Dragons that
immediately attacked a nearby enemy colony.  While the colony was defended
by a trio of enemy destroyers, they were no match for the horrific weaponry
deployed by the rampaging beasts and wisely withdrew.


*Refugee Flight #835 (Drones, Catnip, and Liquor Kzinti victory by default)*

The enemy Kzinti sent the ships *Red Meteor *and *Firedancer* to defend
ships carrying refugees from the ravaged colony attacked by the Space
Dragons.  Our ships did not interfere with the evacuation, and the
civilians were moved safely to a new colony in an unexplored border region.
