Banshees #411  
War Destroyer 003 on Standard patrol around BS #411 detected several small targets approaching at high speed, several Banshees and an ISC Police ship!10 Banshees advance from the South-East (4230) and the ISC frigate from the North West (0101)Fearing for the safety of the Base, the DW immediately assumed tactical stations at speed 0, range 0 to the base, and began launching manned admin shuttles.about halfway through Turn one, as the Banshees had closed on the base, the 8 shuttlecraft fired thier phaser 3's to draw fire away from the DW, which then fired weapons at the 2 remaining Banshees, scoring 5 damage to one with phasers, and 10 to the other with lucky hits with the LRG. Meanwhile, the ISC Pol made the mistake of maneuvering to range 10 along the overlapping weapons arcs from the Base and ate all 6 of the Phaser-4's through the #1 shield for 42 damage, crippling the Pol. In it's final offensive maneuver, the Pol launched it's plasma F and pseudo from the destroyed launcher.
Turn 2 the DW realized that it could not avoid the wrath of the Banshee's on impulse 1, and neglected to power any weapons or fire control in order to plot 22 points of reinforcement to the #5 shield, together with the 6 batteries, reduced the incoming 50 banshee damage to just 2 internals ( a phaser and LRG ) then on impulse 2 performed a tactical maneuver to place the incoming torpedoes onto the #4 shield. Impulse 8 saw the DW change speed to 4 in reverse, then back to 0 on impulse 16 having moved 2 hexes, allowing the Base to fire it's phaser-4's at range 3 to destroy 6 of the incoming Banshees. 
The ISC Pol was then allowed to disengage in its crippled state marking a victory for the Boulder Quarry.
