Dramatic SFB: Convoy Raid 539 Update

Turn 1 is in the books

Feds (7xFT, 1xCVL, 1xNEA, 1xDEA, 1xNCL, 1xFFL) at WS1 were surprised by the Klingons (1xBT, 1xD7L, 1xD5A, 1xD5S) at WS3.

Feds initiated a Kaufman Retrograde (Speed 5, reverse) to keep the brunt of their weapons available.  Klingons approached at Speed 20.  Feds launched 2 pseudo Plasma Fs and drones.  Klingons launched 4 Scatterpacks.  Both sides had major difficulties using Special Sensors to break lock ons.  Pseudo Plasmas absorbed a lot of Klingon phaser fire, setting the stage for the “real” plasmas to weaken the Battle Tug’s # 2 shield.  Feds launched their alert fighters and are scrambling to get the remaining fighters and the MRS out of the shuttle bay.  Klingons virtually demolished the Fed Plasma Frigate.  No power emissions, dead in space.  The Fed Escorts used Phaser 1s and Gatlings to erode the Battle Tug’s #1 shield.  At the close of the turn, the Klingons are adjacent to the convoy and everyone is in each other’s gunsights.  

Turn 2 looks like it’s gonna be bloody and kicks off at 3pm EDT tomorrow.

Reminder for those of you in the US; Daylight Savings Time begins at 0200 tomorrow morning (in my case, 2 hours and 36 minutes from now).  Don’t forget to “Spring Forward.”
